Customs Coordinator Dartford Monday - Friday - 08.30-17.30 Salary - Competitive Our flourishing freight forwarding client are looking for a Customs and AEO Coordinator to join their growing organisation on a permanent basis. The primary purpose of the role is to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures for Customs and AEO processes and activities. Key Duties: Checking and ensuring that they have obtained, prior to shipping, and periodically renewed Customs Representation Authority from customers with all relevant information including, but not limited to, EORI, commodity codes, TARIC's, Customs procedure codes and formalities. Checking and amending if necessary the way they convey customer paperwork and instructions to our customs agents to ensure correctness prior to shipping as well as the way we archive internally and send back the declaration to the customers. Checking the accuracy of entries with special emphasis the calculation of VAT and Customs Duties Ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures for Customs and AEO processes Direct liaison with external customers and internal customers Direct liaison with UK Customs and AEO central coordinator as well as Customs authorities (HMRC) and other agencies as and when necessary ( including, but not limited to, Border Force and DEFRA).
